 About Us

Live The Life You Love, Love the Life You Live

- One of The Oldest American Motorcycle Tour Companies in the USA  -  Established 1994 -

Ride Free Motorcycle Tours has been providing tours since 1994, and was ranked #1 in the UK's Motor Cycle News' 12 Great Riding Holidays. Ride Free prides itself in providing professional, safe, life-changing motorcycle rides to individuals from all walks of life. Our mission is to share knowledge of Harley-Davidson and the biker culture with other riding enthusiasts, and to enjoy getting to know different people as we ride through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Our knowledge of riding and the American landscape allows us to take riders off the beaten path to rarely known historical towns and forgotten original sections of Old Route 66. We travel certain roads that literally are not on the map.

Ride Free is a small professional intimate tour company that has been run by a group of close friends since 1994.  This is not a large corporate business.  We have been doing this for all these years because we love to be on the road with our friends, and love making new friends around the world.

Once  you complete a tour, you are a member of the RFMA - Ride Free Motorcycle Association.  An incredible network of riders and friends worldwide.

Ride Free specializes in all-inclusive guided tours on Harley-Davidson motorcycles, but we also provide:

  • Custom Tours for groups
  • Non-Harley-Davidson Motorcycles including Honda and BMW
  • A car option, so that you can join a tour in a convertible Mustang or Jeep
  • Route planning services for those who want to ride in the U.S.A. without a guided tour
  • Film Industry rentals of custom, stock, old, and chopped motorcycles for Movies, Music Videos, Commercials, Parties, and Events
  • Chaufer Service so you can ride as a passenger on a Harley-Davidson for a half-day tour of Los Angeles and the surrounding area or be dropped off at an event on a super-custom Harley-Davidson Chopper.

Ride Free Motorcycle Tours has become a meeting point for riders from around the world. Tour participants have come from countries including: The United Kingdom--England, Malaysia, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Japan, Thailand, The Netherlands, Australia, Algeria, New Zealand, Canada, Kenya, Taiwan, Brazil, France, Germany, Norway, Vietnam,
Belgium, Brazil, Spain, and the USA.

We have maintained great friendships with many of these people, and they would be happy to give you a referral. Just ask us for someone in your area to talk to.

A picture can say a thousand words, and we've got a lot of pictures.

Wil has ridden motorcycles and driven classic cars all over the entire United States on many road trips.
He has also commuted on a daily basis on the Los Angeles Freeways by motorcycle.
He is also an avid California and North Carolina surfer. When he is not on the road or at the shop, he spends all his free time with his wife and two wee daughters.

Bobby Lynch - Tour Guide.
Bobby in one of Wil's oldest friends.  They make a great team on the road. He has lived both on the east coast and in Los Angeles, commuting by bike on the LA Freeways. He has explored the USA by classic car as well as motorcycle.  He enjoys riding motorcycles, photography, being a musician, and painting. Bobby owns and runs the Sol Cooper Art Gallery. But he also restores old buildings, and used to play rugby.
Bobby is a great guy to spend time with on the side of the road. You always have a nice time hanging out with Bobby.  A ride free rider favorite.

Erin Sakowski runs support and the office.  She has ridden all over the USA by motorcycle on the tours, and traveled the every nook of the country by Classic Car and Airstream Trailer.  Her longest trip exploring the country in one stretch was 18,000 miles per 1964 Buick Convertible and Airstream with her sister.
The below picture is us leading a Ride Free Tour on our honeymoon years ago.

Spencer Getty is another old friend Wil met when he started working at our Hot Rod Shop Sakowski Motors. Spencer can lead a tour, fabricate a motorcycle from scratch, paint a custom helmet ( see picture ), and he cooks a mean breakfast.

Andrew Hardy is one of our drivers.  He is also Wil's cousin.  What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Jake is another part of the circle of old friends.  He drives the support van and is our go to guy.
Whether it is keeping an eye on everyone's tire pressures on the trip, to rounding up stragglers, Jake get's it done. When he is not working on his custom chopper, he and his wife both work in the Hollywood film industry.  If you need a special effects guy to blow something up, Jake's your man.

Erik Seversen is the company founder in 1994.   We call him "The Godfather."
Erik has traveled the world exploring. He has been a professor at UCLA University.  And, has explored every nook and cranny of the United States, as well as traveling the world.  While he no longer runs the operation, he is and will always be an important part of the Ride Free Family.
You could not be on the road with a better guy.
He is a fast long friend of Wil's.
